Up before 6am, wishing that I had put the cover on the motorcycle. Covered in frost. Ouch.
Packed, and fueled the bike, then headed to Chicago, on Hwy20 and Hwy12. Was a great choice. The autumn colours are still around, sun shining, and the lake provided a great counterpoint as the city hove into view.
Pulled up to the Ukrainian cathedral, in the heart of the Ukrainian Village in Chicago. Nice neighbourhood. See below
Glad to say the service was brief (1hr) and refreshments were provided in the basement 🙂 Perfect.
Nice interior. Stained glass windows and nice frescos.
Plus my stuff was still on the bike (see photo) when I emerged to find the start of Hwy66 🙂
