The Bradbury Science Museum was right on the main road into Los Alamos. Took a look. After all, I do have a Physics degree. It was free 🙂
Sad to see that some people believe in the Nuclear Deterrent. For a realistic view (IMHO), take a look at this clip from a 2008 episode of ‘Yes Prime Minister’, a British political satire. Funny how it still rings true today. And how you can see the tactics applied in Ukraine 🙁
Overall, Los Alamos appeared small, and collegiate in character. Quite nice. Just what you need to keep a bunch of egg-heads happy, and building bombs. They also do other stuff.
