Heard a rumour of good beer in St. Helena, so went looking.
You have to call ahead, which I did, and EJ said to come on over.
Took the nice lady in Tourist Information, and a random surveyor for me to find the place. TomTom had no record of the street, La Fata. Turns out, TomTom had the street listed as ‘Lafata’.
Long chat and several sips of different beers. I bought a bottle of Porter. $27US with taxes!!! Talk about sticker shock. Maybe Fritz is not so mad after all.
Just makes me appreciate C’Est What even more.
Really. $27US a pint?
As the site stated, this beer is aged in real wooden barrels.
