The ferry hove into Pompey.
Bikes were in the first group to come off. So I cleared customsβ really quickly.
The Admiral Drake was very close. I cannot stop smiling about the way I arrived. You had to be there. Or buy me a few beers. Just be assured, that it is not as easy to get to the pub, as it is to find the pub.
Outside, on the picnic tables, Barry&Toni were waiting for me π
Sam (landlord) offered to store the bike, so I could drink. Declined the KIND offer.
Went back to Barry’s place, where I parked the bike. Then Barry,Toni and I went for a curry. Nice curry.
Next morning. Rain. Lots of rain. Trinidad amounts of rain. River instead of a road out front.
Weather had calmed down by the time Barry dropped me off at the dentist, Sanjay. Soft and accurate hands. Repaired my broken tooth, which was mainly a previous filling that had fallen off π
I then wandered onto Marmion Road, for a bacon buttie and a cup of tea π π π
Then to get a new SIM card.
For some reason my Bell phone stopped working in the UK. Would connect but only for emergency calls.
New SIM eventually worked. I had to connect via wifi to complete the setup.
Swung by Robert&Eilene’s for coffee and a chat. Then a quick pint.
Met up with Barry&Toni for another curry.
Then sort out the laundry n to-bed π
