Lockerbie and Neighbours

This is why it is important to have good neighbours. They remind you about the important things in life. Options given to me were, I could visit Islay, or regret it.
Tomorrow I head to the Isle of Arran, and from there to the Isle of Islay. My favourite scotch is there. Who knows when I will be back!

So I stopped off at Lockerbie. And visited the memorial to the Lockerbie air disaster: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=55.09958,-3.36697&ll=55.09958,-3.36697&ie=UTF8&z=12&om=1&output=embed&s=AARTsJp56EajYksz3JXgNCwT3LJnGsqqAQ
A nice and peaceful memorial.
And a reminder that people on the ground died too.

In the morning I rode out to find the Hallmiur camp. Easier said than done. Look for the buses, is my advice. Same advice given to me by a group of hikers, and it worked.
There is a small chapel built by Ukrainians after World War II.

From here is was off to Arran, via the ferry.
