Forgot to mention Paul, Walter, June and Graham. This post is a couple of weeks late. Oooooops.

Had popped by at Paul’s after Oxford. Quick run to Leicester, so caught the old pumping station (free) and steam railway (popped in for a cuppa), to fill in the time till Paul was home.
Evening was spent with red wine, Chinese and Match of the Day. Deja vu, all over again 🙂 Pity about the Co-op port, a tad astringent.
Sunday was a trip to Bruntingthorpe Aircraft Museum. Not quite what we expected, but good value. You should go, but dress warmly. All the aircraft are on the runway. The length of the runway. So quite the walk. And a couple of race-tracks, so you may not be able to access the planes at the end, as you have to cross the larger race-track.
Sunday lunch was rather hard to find, as we left the aircraft museum at 2pm.
Which brings me to my aide-memoire, Fifth Gear! Sitting in Bournemouth two weeks later, I realised that they film Fifth Gear around Leicester. Pumping station and Bruntingthorpe clearly visible in the background. Who would have thunk that 🙂

Paul had to work Monday, so I rode over to Corby and visited with June&Graham for lunch, then Wal for tea.
And eventually, via Desborough, made my way back to Barry’s.

This travelling isn’t always hard work 😉
