Best lines heard since leaving Weston?
(1) Barry in a pub:”Male barmen? Where are the dolly birds?”. Young barmaid from around the corner:”What are dolly birds?”. She was serious. Barmaid was not even a twinkle in anyone’s eye in the 90’s, never mind the 60’s. haha
(2) Barry at Oxford Street bus stop:”Bus is on time”. Fellow passenger:”It will probably break-down”. Barry and I fell about laughing. Bus deposited us safely at Waterloo.
(3) Me in a coffee shop: “Going to pantomime“, pointing to the theatre playing Cinderella. Bulgarian chap started miming Marcel Marceau. Me explaining, and thinking, Britain really is an island.

So far, seen panto(pantomime) in Weston, Waterloo and Hammersmith. All on the story of Cinderella.
Repetitive?
“Oh no it isn’t!”.
In one, the ugly-sisters have been men, and really good, bad ugly sisters.
Another had Buttons as a sucidal dog.
Third has Buttons being female and marrying one of the ugly-sisters.
You can’t make this stuff up.
Actually. They did. hahahahaha.
