First of all, I may have seen a panto or two, two many. Cannot resist the puns available.
“Will we be able to look back on this year with 2020 vision?”
“Will there be 2020 cricket this year?”
I could go on, but …… 🙂

Last night was fun.
The VSC did us proud. Even if the band was out of sync at times. Ed’s young lady proved to be an enthusiastic dancing partner. Ed was in the USA military, did some lawyering, and now lives in Florida.
One thing the VSC does provide is lots of interesting people at the club. Who can tell lots of stories. Another example? Geordie submariner who upon retirement worked in Siberia.
Our supper was nice. By the main course, all balloons, poppers, etc were used up. Especially the balloons that fly around the room.
We carried on dancing.
As the London fireworks started, the big screen came alive. Impressive show. Upon the fireworks end, we all sang Auld Lang Syne.
More music and dancing.
After 1am, I decided it was time for bed.

This morning had a bit of a lie-in.
Then out before noon, to see London’s New Year Parade. Did not stay long. Long enough to photo the parked Astons, and then hear them driving along. Nice sound. And the drivers blipped their throttles now and again.
Lots of marching bands waiting to go. They were lined up from near the Ritz, all the way to, and around, Berkeley Square.
Stopped off at Selfridges for a late lunch, in their tasty food area.
Next stop, their cinema to see ‘Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’. Small but very comfortable cinema. Each seat has wide armrests and drinks tray. Front row has foot-stools 🙂 Movie had spots where I felt like taking a nap, despite a capuccino.
On the way out, “ambushed” by the Veuve Clicquot “tram”. Bar setup to look like a tram.
Back at the VSC, did some bits and pieces, then supper.
Now watching Match of the Day.
Leicester remain second in the EPL 🙂
Happy New Year, everyone.
Happy New Year!
