Getting Better All The Time! All deaths are down. And total deaths are close to the 5yr average.
Numbers still show it’s the Old Fogies popping off, in numbers a bit worse than regular flu. Old Fogies (>70yrs) form 89% of the covid-19 deaths.
Hopefully, the numbers will convince the governments to ease all lockdown restrictions. After all, old people die. That’s what they do.
Let the rest of us regain our liberty, and get along with our lives!
The only beneficiaries from all this lockdown, IMHO, are the health care suppliers/providers, who have gained budgets and power.
But hey! That is just me looking at the numbers. If you have a different take, or other numbers, drop them into this blog via COMMENTS, or send to me.
The cynical me says not to hold my breath. It’s nearly three months of the same old, same old. Focus on covid-19 deaths, and keeping the lockdown. I have yet to see any practical reason for the lockdown. But if you have a counter-argument, please treat this as a case assignment on the MBA programme. Rhetoric is not required! Minimum of a reposte to my graph and tables below, with your take on the numbers. Better still, a slide deck along the lines of the March 27th post.
Silence is assent.

Yup definitely.
Had the whole family and friends over for Max’s Bday BBQ last night. Rib eye steaks & chicken & lots of grog. Head is a bit light but what the hey it is all worth it.
Don’t know how to attach pix to this blog otherwise I would.
Summer is finally here.
Pics uploaded via COMMENTs are not enabled – requires a plug-in, at the very least.
A suggestion, if you have the picture uploaded somewhere, you can post a link.
Failing that, send the pic to me and I will place it into the COMMENT.
Party sounds good 🙂 🙂 🙂
DONE……

ps: that cake looks really, really tasty
Yes it was! Cheescake from Dufflets is always great! Especially with strawberries, blueberries and raspberries.
Hahahahaha. You should get a free cake for adding that link to Dufflets.
Here is the link to my radio show on covid-19

Guest is Tim Kinnaird, a Canadian Barrister and Solicitor born and raised in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
Thank you Stephen.
Tim does clarify the actual impact of Covid-19, and the problems with the restrictions that Canada and other governments have imposed.
I was tempted to move the comment over to The Narrow Corridor, as Tim does reinforce that the rich&powerful always want to manage/restrict the freedoms of society. Just as the Soviet government did nearly 100yrs ago. YouTube, Facebook and Twitter all have restricted any contradiction of the government line. What happened to “I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it“?
The comment that wearing a mask separates people within society has scary echos way back in history, where at various times people of the Muslim, Christian and Jewish faiths were required to wear identifying marks, none of which ended well.
