Lots to see.
The Royal Armouries is quite the place. One can spend a whole day there, and I did. The live re-enactments. The armour & weapons up the stairwell. The displays of armies through the ages. A decent cafeteria. And a really good price – FREE !
The armouries are located on the canal, that is quite the feature in this city.
Near one of the canal bridges is the Riveresque Cafe. Well worth a visit for breakfast and more.
Leeds has a huge covered/open market, with good prices, lots of variety, including food options.
A posh covered Victorian arcade, that is bigger and prettier than you would expect.
An art gallery with some iconic works.
As for the beer – beware.
Sparklers are used “up norf” – though if asked, staff will remove these beer-whisks.
Prices. Some places are more expensive than London! eg:The Scarborough Hotel. A better, nearby option is the Moot Hall Arms.
